Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Alḥamdulillāh, Islam is growing in America, and so are the needs of our Muslim communities. Every week, our masjid fills with families, children, reverts, and elders—each seeking a place for worship, education, support, and community.
But we are quickly outgrowing our current space. The next generation of Muslims is here, and it is our duty to prepare a space that will serve them and protect their deen.
🌱 Why Expansion Is Urgent—Especially in the U.S.:
- Our current facilities cannot accommodate Friday prayer crowds, let alone Eid or Taraweeh.
- Children need Islamic education, and our classrooms are limited or overcrowded.
- New Muslims and those seeking guidance need a welcoming and safe space to learn and grow.
- In a country where Islam is often misunderstood, our masjid is our identity, our beacon of daʿwah and unity.

Our total need is $3 million. Alḥamdulillāh, $1 million has already been raised, but we still need $2 million more to complete this project.

Islamic Center of Virginia – Musalla Expansion Appeal
Alḥamdulillāh, the Islamic Center of Virginia is expanding to meet the growing needs of our community with a beautiful new Musalla addition. This much-needed project will include:
- A large prayer hall to accommodate more worshippers
- Separate prayer space for sisters
- Kitchen and storage facilities
- Meeting
- Expanded restrooms for families and individuals
- Community space for events and programs
