Ammar Amonette is an American Islamic scholar and a convert to Islam. He spent 12 years studying in Saudi Arabia, beginning his studies at Umm Al-Qura University in Mecca and later earning a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute for the Preparation of Imams in Mecca.
Originally from Michigan, Shaykh Ammar currently resides in Virginia. He serves as the Imam of The Islamic Center of Virginia.
